We strive to set the standard in our industry. No matter how small the job, Boyd and Company takes a proactive approach to mitigating risks on all project sites.

We have a formalized hiring process, complete with background checks regarding criminal activity and driving record. Boyd and Company employs full-time professional safety personnel, including authorized OSHA outreach trainers in both construction and general industry. All employees are provided a comprehensive employee manual with our written safety program.

At the office, Boyd and Company implements several training and safety programs, and our supervisors hold weekly meetings regarding these programs. All new hires and short service employees go through an orientation training program, with emphasis on safety and standard operating procedures. We also require all employees to pass our approved driver’s program, as well as attend an equipment and vehicle maintenance program. Boyd and Company has a disciplinary action program in the event of noncompliance.

On the job site, Boyd and Company keeps safety at the forefront of every project. Our vehicles and equipment are fitted with GPS tracking, and we require a daily job safety analysis for each crew, prior to each shift.  Boyd and Company implements a ground disturbance program, as well as a utility locate and damage prevention program. Both programs include incident investigation, root cause and trend analysis, and incident cost per hour tracking. All employees have stop work authority.
